The Main Application Industry of Fischer-Tropsch Wax
Fischer-Tropsch wax is a methylene polymer, an alkane polymer synthesized from hydrocarbon-based syngas or natural gas. It mainly relies on low-cost raw materials of coal chemical industry for iron-based or cobalt-based synthesis, which has obvious advantages over the price of crude oil wax.
Fischer-Tropsch wax can be applied to plastic processing, such as injection, extrusion and granulation industries. Fischer-Tropsch wax contributes to the dispersion and excellent smoothness of fillers in the production of color masterbatch and modified plastics. It can be used as an external lubricant for PVC. Low viscosity can improve the production speed of products. When mixing, it helps to disperse pigments and fillers, especially in the extrusion of high viscosity system, which is 40-50% less than that of ordinary PE wax, and can significantly improve the surface gloss of products. The melted Fischer-Tropsch wax can effectively wet the dyes and reduce the extrusion viscosity when using strong colors.
Ink and Coatings
When used in ink with particulate powder, the wear resistance and wrinkle resistance of applied materials can be improved. When applied to coatings, wrinkling effect can be achieved, and wrinkling effect of stripes and water marks can be formed when used in the state of fine powder. Adding powder coating resin can lubricate the extrusion process, reduce screw torque, reduce energy consumption and improve production efficiency.
It is an ideal synthetic wax for EVA-based hot melt adhesives. Wax with high melting point can improve the heat resistance and fast drying of adhesives.
